Blessings to you, today September 8, the day of our beautiful mother Oshún, I share with you 3 very powerful and beautiful prayers to venerate our Yoruba goddess. As advice, do one in the morning, one at noon and another in the afternoon, this series of prayers is a beautiful honor for her.

How to Celebrate Oshun Day with Special Prayers?

Oshún Day is a sacred time to honor our protective mother, the goddess of rivers and love. Celebrating this day gives us the opportunity to express our gratitude and ask for her guidance and blessings. On this special occasion, I want to share with you three prayers to Oshún, each designed to strengthen our connection with her and receive her protection and abundance.

These prayers to Oshún are created to invoke her presence and support in our lives, requesting health, love and prosperity.

I hope that by reciting them, you will find peace and the inspiration necessary to celebrate this significant day with devotion.

Three Prayers to Oshún to Give Thanks, and Invoke Protection and Abundance

I advise you:

  1. Light a yellow, gold or white candle, or whatever you have, the important thing is to venerate it with light, it doesn't matter if it's a lighter.
  2. Put a flower on it, if it's yellow, roses or sunflowers, it's prettier, but if not, the one you have in your garden at home.
  3. Whatever you can offer her, be it honey, a glass of champagne or whatever you have from the heart and with faith to give her, even if it is a stone from the sea or the river, she will receive it with love.

1. In the Morning: Prayer of Gratitude and Guidance

Iyá Oshún! Orisha of rivers and waterfalls, whose purifying waters renew the world. Orisha of love and sweetness! Your sacred waters guard the passions that illuminate the soul with vibrations of peace and mercy. Beautiful Oshún, goddess of abundance and gold, I beg you to illuminate and open my paths. I need your guidance and generosity in my life. Pour out your charity and blessing on me and my family, so that we never lack your protection and love. Yalodde Yeyé Kari! Yeyeo! Omoriyeyeo!

2. At noon: Prayer for Abundance and Prosperity

Blessed be you, Mother Oshún! Protect your children and free us from misfortunes, sowing in our hearts the joy of true love. As I wave your five handkerchiefs, I invoke your help to take advantage of the gifts you generously offer us. Open our path to health, happiness and prosperity. Oshún, beautiful and loving, protect our homes and keep our families together. Pour upon us a wealth of wealth, joy and material progress, always guiding us with your light and generosity. Thank you, beautiful mother, thank you.

3. In the evening: Prayer for Health and Vitality

Iyá Oshún, in your infinite kindness and sweetness, I ask you to extend your protective hand over my life and that of my loved ones. You are the goddess of rivers and vitality, and in your purifying waters I find hope and strength. I beg you, beautiful Oshún, to grant us robust and lasting health. Purify our body and spirit, driving away any evil or illness. May your healing energy flow through us, renewing us with your love and grace. Pour upon us your blessing so that we may live with vigor, joy, and well-being. I deeply thank you for your constant presence and protection. I trust that your generous care will guide us toward a full and healthy life. Thank you, Mother Oshún!
