Oshún is a highly revered Osha in the Yoruba pantheon, She is as sweet as a mother and owner of the waters of the rivers, with them she heals, protects and provides prosperity and luck (I will go).
The drink par excellence of the deity Oshun is honey, with honey she attracts and gets everything she wants, sweetens and opens abundant paths.
That is why we will use this powerful element in this work, to help us with Oshun's blessing to attract what we want, be it health, luck, prosperity, love or balance, both spiritual and physical.
This ritual is a very effective bath, in the Yoruba language it is known as "Ebbó Misi", a purifying cleansing that renews our body and spirit.
As a ritual bath, it is also relaxing and purifying negative energies, and if you do it from the heart and with great will, you will be able to open up those stagnant paths.
Ingredients:
- Deep bowl or basin
- River or calm water
- Pumpkin Leaves and Buttercup Plant
- 5 tablespoons honey
- 5 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- Personal perfume (preferably sweet fragrance)
River water should be used in this ritual, but if you don't have it, you can use calm water. If you don't know how to prepare it, I recommend reading the following article:
Step by step to perform this ritual with Oshun:
We will do this bath or Ebbó Misi in the name of Oshún with great faith so that development and prosperity come to us.
- First, you pour the river or calm water into a container, and while you do so, connect with the energy of Oshun through thought.
- Then you take the pumpkin and buttercup leaves and crumble them with your hands in that water until you get all the juice out of them, that is, the water begins to turn greenish.
- Strain everything and add the honey, cinnamon and 5 dashes of perfume, preferably sweet and if it is for personal use, even better.
Tip: As we will do this ritual bath for 5 consecutive days, the ideal is to prepare a large amount of water and divide it into 5 parts. Of course, if you wish, you can prepare fresh water every day.
Let us invoke the power of the honey queen:
To invoke Oshun you must first light the two candles in her name.
- In case you have her crowned, you do this ritual in front of her representation.
- If you don't have it you can do it too, but choose a suitable and nice place because she likes everything nice and neat.
Why is it important to choose the right site?
Well, the vibes will not be the same, its power must be invoked in pleasant, clean, safe spaces that emanate peace, plus Oshun is vain and always prefers the beautiful.
I do not recommend doing it, for example, in the kitchen, especially if it is messy or dirty.
Short prayer for Oshun before doing the Ebbó Misi:
When lighting the candles with great faith we dedicate these words to him.
Oshun, Orisha owner of fresh waters
Beautiful mother here is your daughter (say your name)
Asking for your mercy and blessing
Giving knowledge that I will give myself 5 Baths in your name with (mention the ingredients of the bath) so that (mention the request that is needed).
You who own honey, attract to me all the cute and sweet things I need,
Away from my side any problem that interrupts my path to success and love.
Let it be as you wish, as you command, but pity me.
May your blessing always reach me my queen. Ashe
While you do this prayer or talk with Oshún you must move the prepared herbal waters, always in a clockwise direction to generate attraction.
How to do the Ebbó Misi or ritual bath?
- When you shower, you will first take a common bath like the one you do every day and then pour that already prepared water from the neck down, so we protect our heads.
- Then you will let that water dry on your body, and while you visualize your order.
- The candles must be lit for the duration of each bath. That is, at the end of each ritual you turn them off, and it will be like this for 5 days in a row.
I advise you to perform the ritual baths before going to sleep and dress in white after doing them to activate the good energies.
May the Ashé of Oshun always reach you and may this Ebbó Misi give you everything you want!
