Santa Barbara is a saint of great devotion in Cuba, the people adore her image because they see in her the unshakable courage that did not lead her to surrender even during her martyrdom.
This Catholic deity has been represented by numerous elements, but the most prominent is the sword that he carries while wielding it, a symbol associated with the wars that he has helped the religious people to fight.
La sword immortalizes the iconography of his suffering and also the indestructible faith that led her to immortality through love for the creator.
At the end of the novena in his name, the religious ends up stronger in his conviction and in the practices of love of neighbor.

My sweet Jesus.
Divine husband of the enlightened virgin and martyr Saint Barbara, whom you taught, as a heavenly teacher, the science of prayer in the closing of the tower in which her father placed her, and in this solitude you communicated the highest gift of contemplation of the Blessed Trinity and the Sacred Incarnation:
She begged you, my Jesus, by the most gifted prayer of your beloved Spouse, that you grant the degree of prayer that is appropriate to know, love and serve You according to the obligations of my state, and the grace that I ask of You in this Novena, if it is for the greater glory of God, your honor and benefit of my soul. Amen.
Eighth day of the novena, time to open your heart to Santa Barbara
My most sweet Jesus, divine Spouse of the enlightened virgin and martyr Saint Barbara, whom you favored with the most singular gift of virginal purity, and despising all that the world seeks in nobility, riches and tastes, choose your Majesty for her most sacred Spouse, suffering for this very pure election the tedious and horrible martyrdom:
I beg you, my Jesus, by the angelic chastity of your beloved Spouse, to grant me this heavenly virtue that makes men angels and the grace that I ask of you in this Novena, if it is for the greater glory of God, your honor and good of my soul. Amen.
Ninth day, end of prayers, but not of faith
My most sweet Jesus, divine Spouse of the enlightened virgin and martyr Saint Barbara, to whom you gave a pious heart, who was already on his knees for his barbarian father to cut off his sacred head, he asked you for all who would invoke her; and from heaven she is a pious advocate so that her devotees do not die without receiving all the sacraments with devotion, and that they are not wounded by the flashes or rays with which you punish the world:
I beg You, my Jesus, by the distinguished piety of your beloved Spouse, to grant me a pious heart, and so devoted to Saint Barbara, that I deserve her favors and powerful protection, and the grace that I ask of You in this Novena, if it is for greater glory of God, your honor and good of my soul.
