Prayer to Saint John Bosco to ask for a Special Gift
Oh, Holy Don Bosco, when you were on this earth there was no one who, coming to you, was not, by yourself, kindly received, consoled and helped.
Now in heaven, where charity is perfected, how much your great heart must burn in love for those in need.
See, because on this earth there was no one who, coming to you, was not by yourself, kindly received, consoled and helped.
Now in heaven, where charity is perfected, how much your great heart must burn in love for those in need.
See, then, my present needs and help me by obtaining me from the Lord (ask for grace).
You have also experienced deprivations, illnesses, contradictions, the uncertainty of the future, ingratitude, insults, calumnies, persecutions, and you know what it is to suffer.
O holy Don Bosco, turn your kind gaze to me and obtain from the Lord what I ask of you, if it is advantageous for my soul, or if not, obtain for me some other grace that is even more useful to me and a filial conformity to the divine will in all things, at the same time as a virtuous life and a holy death. So be it.
